The Soft Parade/December 9,2011/New York,NY

In December of 2011 I took a week long vacation in New York City. It's been one of my favorite cities since I was a kid. Despite NYC's reputation,people are always nice to me when I go there.

On this trip I chose to go to the B.B. King Blues Club to see a Doors tribute band called The Soft Parade. It's an intimate and classy place to see a show. The guys in the band actually dressed themselves to appear like The Doors. And they had the classic Doors sound down to a science. They even had a genuine celebrity join them on stage. It was the original guitar player from The Young Rascals. He played with the band on a Doors-ish cover of "Good Lovin'". It was a fun night,and I recommend any Doors fan to check out The Soft Parade.
