Los Lobos was the opener, and they played well enough. The sound quality was poor in our seating area. I do recall them playing a cover of The Grateful Dead's "Bertha". Ibrahim suggested we move to a better spot for the main event. So we wandered to a balcony section which afforded us a dead center view of the stage. We stayed put,and no one gave us a problem.
Neil and the guys played like young men. They raged through classics and a number of new songs from the upcoming "Psychedelic Pill" album. There was plenty of feedback and stinging guitar solos. Neil also inserted a mellow acoustic set in the middle of the show. Crazy Horse's "Tonight's the Night" encore sent us out into the Chicago night.
