Edgar Winter Band/April 10,1997/Burlington,VT

This was my first show after moving to beautiful downtown Burlington in March of '97. Sha-Na-Na's was a medium sized bar on Main Street. It was about a 10 minute walk from my apartment.

The reason I went to this show was because of Winter's 1973 hit "Frankenstein". So I sat through the show drinking gin and tonics patiently awaiting this song. For his finale Edgar did indeed play it,and I was right there at the front of the stage. In my drunken state, I did not notice (or care about) the large amplifier in my right ear. After the 10 or 15 minute "Frankenstein" was over,so was the show. I lingered in the place hoping to get an autograph from Edgar. His backing band came out,but there was no sign of Mr. Winter. By this time,I gave up and stumbled home.

Sure,I was terribly hungover the next day and deaf in my right ear,but I got to see "Frankenstein".
