Gov't Mule/October 2,1999/Winooski,VT

In June of 1999 I managed to get a DUI. After that incident, I stopped partying until late 2002. So,until then,none of these posts will contain blackouts or hangovers.

This was one of my first sober shows. My Dad nicely drove me to and from the show as I had a suspended license at the time.

Before the show,a large birthday card was being passed around outside for Allen Woody (Mule's bassist). Little did we know it would be his last birthday. The show contained quite a bit of unfamiliar material. They opened with "Bad Little Doggie". And there was an instrumental which featured the audience chanting "What The F**k!" at certain points. There's a good chance I left this show early (a rarity for me). As a newly sober person,I had difficulty getting into the swing of things. Anyhow...it was my last time seeing The Mule before Allen Woody's death.
