Phil Lesh and Friends/October 1,2000/Burlington,VT

Phil Lesh is the bass player from The Grateful Dead. Since the Dead finished in 1995,he's been very busy touring with different line-ups.

This concert had the format of a Grateful Dead show. The first set got the band and audience warmed up. Then the second set would take off into serious improvisational territory. I have few specific memories of the concert. The 2 young guys in front of me were taping the show on mini-recorders. And the second set opened with "Scarlet Begonias" and "Fire on the Mountain" just like my Dead show from 10-1-94. I also noted that Candace Brightman (longtime lighting designer for the Dead) was working the lights at this show. A good evening with Mr. Lesh.

Note: The setlist below disagrees with me about the placement of "Scarlet Begonias" and "Fire on the Mountain". Apparently 15 years did a number on my memory.
