Buddy Guy/March 6,1995/Burlington,VT

I really can't recall why I chose to attend this show. Maybe someone told me that Guy was a legendary blues guitarist. Whatever the reason is,I'm glad I went. The show was in a small place called the Ira Allen Chapel on UVM campus. So there were no bad seats in the house.

I don't know what else to say about Buddy Guy,but this guy could play killer blues. Why did I never hear of him before?? Aside from blazing guitar, the man has a HUGE voice. He appeared to have a bottle of Brandy on one of his amps. Once in a while he would go over and have a few sips from a glass. He completely won me over when he started playing "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" by Hendrix. And his interaction with the audience made him seem like the nicest guy on the planet. Near the end of the show he put on a wireless guitar and walked around in the crowd while playing. I seem to recall he even walked up to the balcony. For days after,my roommates had to hear me rave about this show.

Below my ticket stub is a Buddy Guy show from a month after this one.
