Grateful Dead/October 1,1994/Boston,MA

This is the best Grateful Dead show I saw,and it is one of my favorite concerts ever. I was in Boston staying with my brother Sam that weekend just hoping I could find a ticket. We walked down to a local ticket vendor, and I found a Row 36 Floor seat for maybe three times face value. And I happily purchased it. With that business out of the way,my brother brought me to a local brew pub where I had a fine pumpkin beer.

So...off to the show. Before entering the mighty Garden,I bought a cool Batik t-shirt and a *special* cookie. It may sound corny now,but there was an indescribable good vibe walking into the show. Maybe it was just the cookie.

Row 36 on the floor. What a trip! I'd never seen the band this close before. The 1st set included a fairly new Dead song "So Many Roads". It was the first time I'd heard it,and the intensity of Jerry's singing during the last few minutes knocked me for a loop. And the 2nd set included everything I could hope for in a "fantasy set". Song selection and song execution were top-notch all night. The band and the crowd seemed to be on the same wavelength for the entire evening. Then again, maybe it was the cookie.

Below my ticket stub is the "So Many Roads" from this show that knocked me for a loop.

And here is a link to the audio portion of this show.  https://archive.org/details/gd94-10-01.pmb.pujol.15079.sbeok.shnf
