We did not have floor seats, but we did have 1st level seating. I was impressed. Jerry and Co. were very visible from our location. The Jerry Garcia Band is definitely NOT the Grateful Dead. It was comprised of 2 female backup singers,a drummer,a keyboardist and bass player. The band gave Jerry a chance to play HIS favorite songs. It was a more conventional sort of concert compared to the weirdness of a Dead show. I recall being very impressed with "Dear Prudence" and "Everybody Needs Somebody" at this show. During an equipment problem,Jerry asked the audience to "talk amongst yourselves" while it was fixed. Pretty laid back. The 2nd set began with a 20-ish minute version of "Shining Star" originally performed by The Commodores. It was a fun night with one of my favorite musicians.
Here is a link to the setlist of this show. http://jerrygarcia.com/show/1993-11-03-knickerbocker-arena-albany-ny/ And below the ticket stub is a clip of the Jerry Garcia Band 8 days after this show.
