Gov't Mule/August 8,1997/Burlington,VT

This was a very cool show which took place out on a Lake Champlain ferry ride. The weather was wonderful that day. Sadly, I've forgotten a good chunk of the show due to excessive drinking (again).

Walking around on the boat before the show,I managed to get Warren Haynes (guitar) to sign the back of my ticket stub. And while standing in line to get beer I noticed Allen Woody (bass) standing right in front of me. I managed to catch his eye and tell him I really enjoy his music. He nicely shook my hand and thanked me. Next,he ordered 2 cups of beer. He downed one of them in about 15 seconds. Then he took the other and walked over to his wife and daughter.

As I previously mentioned,my memories of the concert are very scattered. Once again I had way too much to drink. One memory I have is The Mule playing a very nice cover version of Blind Faith's "Presence of the Lord".

Here is a link to the setlist of this show.  http://mulearmy.net/govt-mule-08-08-1997-lake-champlain-burlington-vt/

And below is my ticket stub with Warren Haynes's autograph on the back.
